Are you having difficulty with
understanding what which treatment or training options suit you best?
There is no “one perfect way” to do things.
Your plan should be tailored to your specific goals, history, skills and environment.
Once all the options are laid out, and you can see what will work best for your individual circumstances, we can create a plan that takes everything into account and allows you to achieve your own best outcomes
slower than expected recovery?
Sometimes things take longer than expected.
It can be because you need more time, or it can be because the plan you have isn’t right for you.
By having a thorough history and examination at your initial assessment you can be sure that you will have a clear understanding of what your options are, what progress looks like, and what kind of recovery to expect.
Feeling Like you aren’t addressing the root cause of your concerns?
Some treatments and interventions promise a quick fix, but this doesn’t always lead to sustained improvements.
By reducing the risk of negative outcomes and addressing underlying contributing factors you’ll know that you aren’t just managing what’s happening now, but achieving (and remaining) at your best moving forward.
This is achieved by taking into account all of the factors relevant to you, and breaking down your options in to short, medium, and long term strategies.
Knowing Where to start in your health or performance journey?
If you aren’t sure where you are, or where you’re going, you won’t know how to get there.
By clearly defining your goals, and having a strong understanding of what your current condition is, you’ll be able to easily identify the next steps and start to make progress towards being at your best.
Finding a healthcare professional who isn’t rushed and on back to back appointments?
It’s a good sign if your practitioner is busy - it usually means they are good at their job.
However, it’s still important that you feel like you have had enough time to feel heard and had your concerns addressed.
With up to 40 minutes and a buffer between consults, you won’t be rushed in or out of the room.
navigating the healthcare system and where you should be spending your time and money?
It’s absolutely crucial to your health and wellbeing long term that you feel completely supported, have appropriate access to healthcare, and are made aware of your options.
I accept GP Care Plans, Private Health if your plan has extras for Physio, and will work with you if you have any concerns regarding financial circumstances.
On top of that, if you need a pathway for referral or access to other parts of the healthcare system I will outline steps with you and communicate with other providers (GP, Surgeon, Allied Health, Personal Trainers, etc) to facilitate your continuity of care.
